The Apollo missions were the topic of today's program. In particular Apollo 11 and could listeners remember what they were doing or any other related topics. I was late to the show but managed to compile a short 6119-8460 topic.

Surprisingly, it was the very last message to be read out before they changed progs.

Just Landed - 1971 6139-6032 Coke

I have been looking for one of these Cokes in decent shape as a project to add to my collection for some time. Purchased this one a few weeks ago off ebay and received it the other day. Great crystal, dial, hands, inner and outer bezel. Unfortunately, someone got to the case and polished it but not so much so as to destroy all the lines. I am going to try and sharpen it up a bit. As an added bonus, this one came on a Seiko Stelux Presidential bracelet. I have not seen many of these in the wild. Very cool bracelet. What you see in the pics is after I have cleaned and refinished the bracelet. I have not started yet on the casework or movement service. As you can see from the numbers, the movement is in need of service. Chrono works well and hands reset to zero as they should. Look for my project restoration over in the Watchmakers and Tinkerers section.

Offering a nice NOS (never worn) Stainless Steel Seiko Quartz watch with box & papers from 1989. Original battery was removed right after purchase. My Dad bought 2 identical watches at the same time. He wore the other one, but didn't wear this one. Bracelet never even sized. I put a new battery in it & it is running and keeping excellent time.

diameter is 36mm w/o crown
lug to lug is 41.4mm
thickness is 8.75mm

It's common knowledge the first 2 digits are year and month of manufacture.

And when the second digit is N = November and D = December

Can anyone confirm, from actual evidence, what is used for October.

When Googling there are conflicting statements.

Good day Gents,

I’ve got to log my satisfaction with the Citizen Service branch. I have just had a full service on my PMT56, first one in 15 years, and have to say I’m mightily impressed. Helpful, understanding and very reasonable costs for a full service as it kept going into power save mode.

SLA025 and 6159-7001

I keep getting an urge to sell off more (most :) ) of my small collection to fund one of the above.

What do owners of the SLA025 think to it ? compared to the vintage 6159 ?

Either of the two to be a every day wearer not a safe queen but not to be abused either.

Could they compete with the SBDX001 ? :)

Citizen 4-095111 Y Repair

Hi all,

I've gotten stuck on a Citizen 4-095111 Y. It works, but the digits are too dim to see unless you really look closely. The battery is confirmed good at 1.5v. I removed and cleaned all the battery contact parts with no luck. Normally, I'd disassemble the module, but holly molly, the crown mechanism is complex on this one, and I'm not even sure how to take it out, much less put it back together. I don't think this one has ever been worked on before and there's no corrosion anywhere inside, so I'd bet the circuits are all good. It may be the zebra strips or LCD contacts need cleaning? Usually that's an easy fix, but not on this watch! Could it be a bad component?

Any advice on what to try next? How does the crown come out? Thanks!
