I have had a couple of guys contact me with concerns about PaulB after watches where bought and not received.
This could all be innocent, could be accounts hacked, I don't know and have never had anything to do with the member.
Anyone else had any dealings with him, good or bad ?

For sale
Seiko 6139-6002 Pogue from February 1976.
The watch looks good and works fine.
All functions are works properly.
The inner bezel rotate.
The stopwatch works perfect and reset to zero as should have.
Quick set of the date is by short press on the stem works good but Quick set of the day is by longer and stronger press on the stem this option not works very well. the Pressing moves the day but does not change it. Maybe need cleaning or lubrication of stem i really dont know.
In any case, the day is replaced by the constant operation of the clock every 24 hours fine. Or set it by moving the hands so that there is no problem here.
All in all, this is a good watch at very good price.
For any question please contact me at:

Thanks for looking

For sale I have a kit I put together with different parts to give someone some parts to use or practice on in modding.
The parts are:
Seiko SNK809 case, crown, in like new condition
SKX007 movement
Seiko 5 dial (made in Japan) taken from a new watch
4 sets of OEM original Seiko hands. Most of them were removed from a new watch, one set had been used for another project at one point in time.
Asking a low $50 for the whole kit. This includes paypal fees and shipping in the US.
Here are a few pics to show what these look like.

When I study a vintage Seiko diver, I like to see a lovely crisp and sharp Tsunami, A good condition Tsunami makes all the difference to me. I just love it. The first Seiko that featured the Tsunami was the Seikomatic Silverwave 50m snorkelling watch in 1961 and continued on the lower priced Sportsmatic Silverwave 30m until they were replaced by the 62mas in 1965. Seiko chose not to incorporate the Tsunami on the 62mas caseback, choosing a Dolphin instead, then during 1967 the horseshoe design replaced the dolphin. The horseshoe caseback continued through the 6105 divers until 1974 and was replaced by the boring 'text' caseback. It is a shame the classic 62mas ands 6105 divers never had a Tsunami.
Then 10 years after the Silverwave the Tsunami made a comeback on the 1975 6159-7010 Tuna, then the 6306-7000 in 1976 and has adorned the caseback of most Seiko divers since then (not Grand Seiko's it seems).
Here are some of my favourites from my collection:
Seikomatic Silverwave 50m 1963:
Sportsmatic Silverwave 30m 1964:
Has anyone else noticed that 6306 divers often have a better defined Tsunami than others, often with a slightly 'frosted' appearance of the sky?
6306-7001 1978:

This landed today at a great price. Im a big fan of these watches. So lightweight you barely know it is on your wrist. Good quartz movement and Tritium tubes so very visible at night. Can set for another time or do 20 mins of elapsed time. 6 ATM WR so makes it serviceable in most water situations.

I buy most of my Vintage Seiko Watches in the US and then take them with me to Thailand. I Enjoy them for a while and then end up selling many. Most of my sales are to US collectors where the watches eventually return to where they were originally purchased.
I ship to the US via Express Mail International from Thailand Post. Always super quick and resonably priced. After receipt by Thailand Post the shipment is put on a plane one day after receipt and reaches the US in 2 - 3 days. After arrival in the US shipment quickly enters into Customs for processing and then is quickly released into the US Postal System for Priority Delivery. Once in the USPS system it normally takes 2 - 3 days for delivery. Total Turnaround and Delivery time from Thailand to the US is usually 7 days or less.
Lately my shipments to the US have gone nowhere. After departing Thailand they simply do not show up anywhere in the US. I shipped 2 watches last week and it has now been 8 days. There has been No Activity.
Could this delay be the result of the US Government Shutdown? Has the shutdown created a backlog with processing at Airports, Customs Processing, and the Postal System.
I live overseas but as a US Citizen I continue to pay taxes to the US Government. I am Not Happy!

I've been on the hunt for one of these for the past year and not finding many on offer. Anybody have one to sell or trade (partial)?
I'm new to SCWF, but long time on WUS with same user name. Send a PM to me.
Cheers,
David

This Sportsmatic 5 from '67 has the push-in type of day-date quickset. Pushing in changes the date without problem, but pushing harder doesn't change the day. My question: is the function broken, or did some watches back then have a quickset only for the date?
