Have you seen this before? 6139 - 6005

Ok– Not really sure how this happened, or keeps happening. [emoji848] Listing pictures were poor quality, in poor lighting. At first- I thought it was on the crystal. Inside or perhaps outside. So when it arrived the other day, I said to myself, there is definitely something (debris) caught between the hands, dragging and making that circular scratch on the dial. I open it up, and examine it under the loupe. There is no bloody debris between the hands. [emoji15] I’m not sure how this happened. I ave never seen this before and thought perhaps I ask the experts on here to see if this is a common occurrence or an anomaly. I took some shots, the best I could under given lighting and out dated mobile device. Running on iPhone 6 so bare with me. I know dial can never be the same. Gone forever. But can this be prevented from further damaging the dial??[emoji848]

Up for grabs is a good vintage condition Citizen 52-0110 automatic diver with nice patina on the dial. This watch was Citizen’s answer to Seiko’s 62mas. Price has been on the rise for while now. Ss casing 40mm excl crown. Aftermarket ss bracelet will fit a 20cm arm. Original concave hardelex crystal scratched. Original crown still screws in nice. Circa 1979.

Price $250 which includes shipping and PayPal fees.

FS Seiko 6309-729B serviced £750

Here for sale is a very hard to find 6309-729B with orange dial. The 6309-729B is the most scarce of all 6309's, and is indeed one of the most elusive vintage Seiko divers generally. These are difficult to find in any condition.

This -729B is in fairly good condition, it has no deep scratches or dings, but It does have light marking all over. The case has never been polished.. Duncan (The Watch Bloke) serviced it in 2017 (I will provide the full photographic service record), so it is running perfectly. Except for the aftermarket insert the watch is all original. The dial has some slight greying on the lume, and the hands would benefit from a relume.

Asking £750 (PayPal no fees please) which includes posting to anywhere.

1967 Lord Marvel arrives in the UK

It's here!!? If dated correctly, a '67 Lord Marvel all the way from Hiroshima... Subject to a crystal swap and a strap change. I'm so chuffed... Running sweet so far... Seems to have gained about 20 seconds over a 6hr period so will take that for now. Can anyone help with the markings on the bottom of the dial? I see that the last 4 digits seem prior to the 'AD' markings are different to what I have seen/was expecting. Are these correct?... Is it a genuine dial?... Any help much appreciated. Thanks y'all. The crystal and insert have had an interesting life, age wrinkles and all, pics make it look worse though. He said it was in a drawer for the last 15 years or so and had never been serviced but kept good time over the last few days. :97: Looks like a 1984 virgin to me!

Pulled the case back and was amazed at how clean it was!

Need some advice, and I know this has been brought up, but please bear with me.

Like many here, I love to hunt for vintage Seiko's, mainly divers. I'll keep the best for myself (cause I'm greedy) and then sell the rest, mainly on the Bay.

I'm COMPLETELY honest with what I sell. Yes, I've bought a redial or two not realizing it until later (lesson learned). But when I went to sell it, I was truthful. Yes, we see them on the bay as being sold as Authentic all the time, but generally, I just chalk it up to something similar to that of a used car salesman. Let the buyer beware and all.

But...

I found a seller on the Bay out of the UK, that has taken it to a new level. They've sold 120 Seiko divers in less than 60 days, and it's the same 4-5 models over and over. I went down the line of his past sales, and 80%+ were all redials/inserts/hands, you name it, and of course, he advertised them all as MINT 100% Original.

He's like a puppy mill...but for watches. :mad:

This affects all of us. The more "fuax-thentics" are out there, the more it muddies the water for the true thing, depressing prices greatly.

Should this person be reported, or just forget about it and mind my own business? To me, it's theft. Would you not report a theft if you are witness to it? I really am on the fence about it.

Not sure if the Ebay Police Force even cares...that's the other question.

Hello.

My 777 is running -30 sec per day. Should I calibrate it me self?

From the videos I've watched, it seems very hard to move the little lever a very short distance. A fine tuning screw would be much easier.

Your thoughts? Thanks.

FS| Seiko 7C43-7010 £270

A Seiko 7C43-7010 from February 1987. New gaskets and a new crystal installed.

Movement is ticking along nicely, service history unknown but it is in great condition and so I haven't stripped it, I've popped a new battery in.

Day/Date changes fine with no issues.

Lovely dial and hands that are spotless, one of the nicer examples I've had in this respect. Wear to insert and case as can be seen, but in the flesh not at all bad.

All original other than the crystal.
Bezel rotates fine with clicks.
Watch head only.

Can service for the buyer at a cheaper than usual rate if needs be.
Asking £270 shipped, add a tenner for international post.

Hey peeps,
Spoke with our friend over the last week again and he’s hoping to be back soon. Has had a right sod of a time lately, compounded by the especially terrible news that he hasn’t been able to wear a watch for a while.
Anyway, I’ll not go into details as he can fill you in himself if he chooses to when he gets back, so I’ll leave it there. Just wanted those that are concerned about his absence to know that he’s fighting the good fight and, like he always does, he’s starting to win it.
