6309-729B The elusive 6309!

Well, I say elusive and I mean elusive. It has taken me several years to finally acquire a stunning 6309-729B. This is far and away the most difficult 6309 to find in any condition. Over the past 5 or 6 years I have managed to find four of these, - two in scruffy condition, one in horrible condition, and then at last this lovely example. These really are a bugger to find! It didn't come cheap, and I didn't care. Immediately it arrived from Indonesia I packed it off to Duncan for a full service. It arrived back today, and I am so pleased with it I thought I'd share it with you: :cool:

FS| 7002-7001 £130

Selling quite a hard to find JDM 7001 version of the 7002 here with a lovely original dial, dated January 1990.

The hands have been relumed to match the dial as they were sagging and rather poor looking, the hour and seconds do have some slight tarnishing. The rest is original to itself and the movement is serviced with a high amplitude at full wind of 300...which for one of these is quite an achievement. Time keeping is excellent within +-15.

The movement is flawless and an excellent original 7002A stamped bridge with the sin stamped mainplate is all there.

Asking £130 shipped. International add £15.

FS: Seiko 7A28-7040 JDM £295

For sale is my Seiko 7A28-7040 JDM (March 1983). I’ve owned it for a few years now and never worn it.

All original and it’s in very good overall condition imho.

Before I put this into the collection drawer, I did a ‘case service’ on it and I know I fitted new case back and bezel gaskets, but I’m unsure if I fitted new pusher and crown seals. If I hadn’t it’ll be because they were serviceable. Obviously I offer no guarantee of water resistance, but you wouldn’t be going diving wearing one of these anyway!

It’s got the original crystal fitted. I’ve checked with the loupe and there are a few light scuff marks on it as can be seen in photos. It’s not flawless but it’s totally usable and, day to day, I doubt you'd notice.

Bracelet has some light surface marks on a few links and the clasp. One link in particular has a 'line' running across it and you can just feel it, but it's never worried me and I'm pretty fussy. Please see photos. My wrist is about 19.5cm and the bracelet is too loose. I can spin the watch all round.

All functions work as they should. Timekeeping is approx. minus 6 secs per month (checked over the last month). New battery has been fitted.

Ive seen a few postings about this watch pop on ebay a couple of times. But cant seem to find any useful references with google.

Claims to be a limited edition piece with upto 1000 (500whitedials/500blackdials) ever made and theres a numbered stamping on the case back.

Im trying to find out if this is the real deal or just some Chinese no brand watch manufacturer using a cheap Seiko quartz V-57 movement.

Has Seiko really ever collaborated with Nasa to produce this model? It seems so doubtful:confused:

Chevron Bracelet

i'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on what an original chevron
bracelet in decent condition, and capable of fitting a 7" wrist, is worth?
i happen to have one lying around, and it's sought after, and i don't
want to give it away, i also don't want to be greedy, just fair.

Birth year dive watch options?

My sons B-day is not until December but wanted to start my hunt sooner than later. He was born in 1994. So my first option is a 7002-7001. Are there other auto divers for that year that may be another option? Also, I have found a 4D serial 7002 but has mod dial and hands so getting it back to original is my other option. Thoughts or options?

Hi guys,
Here for sale my SEIKO 6159-7001.
Serviced by Duncan in Nov 2017. Oring are ok, impermeability tested, passed a 10bar test. NOS crystal fitted. Duncan cleaned the dial as much as possible, lume seems to be the original one; please see pics.
Bezel insert ruined.
2 little chips on case back, please look the pic.

Generic strap.

I ask EUR 3900 for this piece. Considering conditions, I think is a reasonable price.

New Citizen Blue Angels Chrono

I have an older Blue Angels Chronograph (C300-Q0082 TA). It's been a great watch, still runs great, and I'd like to buy a newer model with Atomic Time, and Eco Drive.


I'm looking on eBay, and the prices run from as much as $1.1K, down to around $400, since I prefer the stainless "pilot" bracelets. The model number variations make exact price matching nearly impossible.


As to the model numbers; is there any significant difference of similar appearing watches with similar bracelets?


Any advice is appreciated.

Hi everybody,

New to the forum. I have an old Lassale watch that belonged to my father and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction for some info, particularly when it was made and how much it might be worth.
