XAA 401 Bracelet?

$
0
0
Hey folks!

Now that I've successfully installed the new bezel on my 5719, I was curious to see some bracelet options.

I came across this post here: http://vintageseikoblog.blogspot.com...ne-button.html

If you see the 2nd photo, it shows endlinks as XAA 401. I like the look of this bracelet on the 5719 (although I don't think it's the original), and would like to try to learn more about it.

Any one know which model it came from? It seems like other XAA bracelets came on the Actus model.

Thanks!

I've wanted both of these for some time, and managed to get both within 2 days! 2002 (first year of production) SKXa35 Singapore, and an SKX399 "Phony".

Happy...Happy...Happy...

Need help to identify!

Hope everybody is having a nice Friday! I recently bought a watch via watch recon but after looking at it closer, I am having a hard time identifying it. The caseback has 7S26-0020 with the serial number 302137. However the dial (at 6) in small precise letters has 7S26-003R R 2. I have researched and found Watch Sleuth which has a relatively extensive database for finding Seikos, but each style has something a little different- looks like the dial from SKX009 (without red lettering for the Diver’s 200m) but with second hand from a 6306/09, and an aftermarket bezel... Any ideas?

I bought this last week, it arrived on Monday, only as I was at work, it was Wednesday evening before I was able to collect it from my local delivery office.
Today, is the first day that I have been able to wear it, it was worth the wait though.

I am really liking the watch !! As I have 'girlie wrist syndrome' i was afraid it would wear big, only it doesn't appear too, I may be biased though.

It will take some prizing off of my wrist, it also came with all boxes and manuals, so I am well chuffed.

Professionally serviced a month ago.
Day and date change over around midnight, quick set day/date operating perfectly.
Timing ring rotates through 360 degrees both ways when turning the crown as it should but missing the lume dot.
NOS Crystal installed during the service.
Nice 'sharp' case lines with some small scratches but is free of any major dings/dents. Doesn't look like it has ever been polished.
Excellent time keeping.
The bezel insert condition is the best on any I've seen, almost NOS.

£500 net to me plus shipping from the UK

Beautiful Bellmatic, overhauled and re-lumed ( lume plots are
tiny, but quite functional) by Randall Benson aka Dr. Seiko in
2017. Gorgeous, deep blue dial looks velvety.Hardly worn at all,
this being my "dress" watch. Alarm functions perfectly, day/date,
this watch is in prime condition and can probably go another 40
years with no attention at all. Comes with blue suede strap i
had made for it, for $575, $550 without strap.

thanks for looking.

Citizen NY-0040 I Thought Was Gonna Be a Beater....

There are some things i really liked about this watch, apart from the
fact that it cost $120 used and, that the italian navy uses them :) It
has a really nice, low profile, it kind of feels like a grilled cheese sandwich,
which is not a bad paradigm for a watch :) So i filed it down to reveal
the inner sinew and musculature, there's a manta ray lurking inside the
ugliness of the standard Citizen case....and had Duarte bead-blast it.
Hands from Yobokies, blue sapphire from Crystaltimes, and Everest
gave it an excellent lume job. Mounted on a mini-turtle strap, i don't
care about the dust, it is really comfortable, and the watch sits on the
wrist perfectly, no hassles.....

my cheap-o beater is pushing all the glamour-pusses off my wrist...

Thanks Duarte, Thanks Everest! Thanks SCWF...
