Bracelets for SRP 789

$

Anyone know if the Strapcode bracelets for SRP777/779 will fit a SRP789?......when I asked the people at Strapcode they said bracelets that fit SRP077/079 will fit a SRP789........I’ve asked a few times they’ve said the same thing.....problem is I can’t actually find a Seiko that has the model number SRP077 or SRP079!

Anyone have an SRP789 and used a Strapcode bracelet for it?.....the SRP789 is the coke version of the turtle......any help appreciated cheers

Proxy buying service

Hi everyone, I was just wanting to get people's opinions on the current state of Japanese proxy buying companies.

I have used Jauce before and was happy with the service (albeit expensive), but that must have been 4 years ago, and there seems to be quite few new entrants in the market.

I'm currently looking at buying a discontinued GS second-hand via a Rakuten seller, so an expensive one-off, as opposed lots of small items requiring consolidation.

So has anyone used a proxy in the past year or so? How did it pan out?

Thanks for any feedback in advance.

Andy

Wooohooo arrived today from my Forum Buddy Kenny!!

I gifted Kenny a lovely Silver Seiko when he joined the forum after a few Chats
And introductions getting to know each other at the time,Both he and Todd I now consider good friends but I never expected a return gift from Kenny for sending him the Seiko as it was myself paying it forward as I’ve always done to get him going.

Anyway a surprise delivery 🚚 today and Kenny I must say I am happy as a ten peckered Owl.👍👍👍👍

Red Dial,Black Hand Set,Quartz For time keeping and approx 6 inch diameter which will suit my size “PERFECTLY”😂😂

Crystal looks almost invisible with a case so thin it’s almost anorexic😜

Strap options please Gents!!!! Otherwise a nice Thick Leather Belt off my Jeans
Will have to do😎

Kenny all Jokes aside Sir this is awesome and Being personalised as it is I will treasure it and get it Serviced by Guy!! When it’s needed😜

What about this then Gents!!!😇

I'm a big fan of the SBDX001. One MM300 I wear alot and it's showing its age but still keeps excellent time. Over the years I also bought 2 additional SBDX001 secondhand but barely used so they are in Like New condition. I just keep them in the Box and unused (both are over 10 years old and to my knowledge never have been serviced). Every few years I take them out and wind them up just to make sure they are running OK. My understanding is that keeping a watch unwound and unworn is much better than constantly running a watch on an auto winder (wears down the parts over time) ? Since both of the unused SBDX001 are older but essentially new and unworn is there anything that members would recommend to keep them in good operating condition for the future?

FSOT: NOS Seiko SLD005P1 ScubaMaster ISO Professional 200m Diver from 1997. - 1500€

$

Hello. I am offering*NEW*&*UNWORN Seiko SLD005P1*ScubaMaster Professional ISO 200m diver from 1997. in full set - world's first fully automatic analogue Depth Sensor watch!

Ultra Rare & Collectible, comes in full set with box and papers (wrist shot 7inches/19cm, only for illustration). Stickers still on backcase.

In the 90s most diver watches were digital but Seiko decided to redesign an prove all of this can be done with an analog watch and made world's first fully automatic analogue Depth Sensor watch! Amazing achievement and piece of rich Seiko history.
Automatically measuring up to 59m deep, basically is everything a professional diver need. This truly is an example of functional beauty.
This watch was limited release in a series of “serious” tool watches equipped with pressure sensors released by Seiko in the 1990s. This series included 2 versions of the ScubaMaster (SLD005 & SBCP001), LandMaster (SBCN003), MarineMaster (SBCN005) and CruisingMaster (SBCN001).
SLD005 ScubaMaster as the world's first fully automatic analogue Depth Sensor watch was recognisable and used, among others, by French Navy, German Federal and also by the US Navy (Navy Seal).

Diving scale is smartly used to measure depth up to 60m so it can also be used as a time scale. Dial is rich and deep, layered, bezel is smooth and cathedral hands stand out from other hands (9 in total) so time telling is not a problem. Generaously applied lume on indices is still potent as can be seen on photos. Analog dial makes this watch also a great sporty casual piece for everyday use.

Details:
- 1997. year of production, discontinued,
- 46 mm w/o crown, 52mm L2L, 15.6mm thickness, 22mm lug width, drilled lugs,
- screw down crown at 3 for time&date settings, other scuba function buttons at 2, 8, 10 + alarm,
- uni-directional 120 clicks bezel,
- black multilayer dial with generously applied lumed markers,
- analog quartz caliber Japan 7K52-6A10 (pressure sensor at 9),
- sapphire crystal,
- dual time function,
- diving measurement functions: full automatic measurement of diving data, current depth, maximum depth, average depth, diving time and time submerged for the last two dives, recording of log data, warning functions, rapid ascent warning, extra measurement range warning, abnormal measurement warning, rotating bezel, can measure elapsed time such as diving time, surface interval, battery life indicator, etc.

Original yellow box with manuals, card, tag, original unworn rubber strap, strap changing tool. Even comes with outer yellow card box. Trully a full set.

Tested for water pressure and condensation like a true ISO certified diver should. However, didnt tested it and cant offer any warranties on that (more then 20yrs ago).

This piece is a pretty rare vintage in the market right now, especially in NEW condition. A musthave for a serious collector and Seikoholic.

Asking price is 1500 € (PayPal).*Shipment to be discussed (DPD, DHL, GLS, ...).*Watch will be shipped from EU (Croatia).

Trading possible in EU. I am interested in:
Seiko tuna SBBN013/015
Fortis B-42 Cosmonauts Chronograph
Sinn U1 SDR (ETA preferable)
(…I don’t need perfection, but watches offered FT should be in good condition…)

This is a private sale. No warranties and returns please.

Please let me know if you have any questions. PP or Viber/Wattsup: +385955440337.

Thanks for looking,
Martin

7S26 movement question

$

Hi all,
New forum member and beginning watch collector. My question to the group is; are all 7S26 movements of the same dimensions? I like to puddle, and I have acquired a movement and was struck with the idea of assembling a watch from parts of others. Namely, 7S26-6000 movement donor to a skx007 case. Is this possible? Or would the modifications be to substantial to fool with?

Pilots Chronograph Gen2 internals

I've a 1995 7T27-7A20 Gen 2 watch. It stopped so went to change the battery. On taking the back cover off of the watch there was a cover frame that appears to have been loose in the back. It goes over the movement but does not appear to have any fixing screws or locating lugs.

Can anyone offer any advice as to why this cover is floating around in the back of the watch? I have seen phtos of the item cvering the movement as mine will do, but the photos show the movement cover as fixed in position somehow.

Any feedback greatly accepted.
